LEARN AS YOU KNIT This book will take you through a sequence of patterns. Each one will teach you something new, which will give you more knowledge and confidence, as you knit. For quick reference when knitting other patterns, at the end of this section we have indexed the techniques you will be learning. Read each pattern carefully before you start to knit. Just like reading a recipe, make sure you understand what you will be doing and that you have all the materials you need. It is important that you make the first three patterns before you start any of the other projects so you learn all you need to know to begin knitting other projects. CROCHET A basic knowledge of crochet is helpful for working neck edgings and finished hems.
