Designaknit Pro 7 is the only software, available new, to connect computers to electronic knitting machines. Great for hand knitters, crocheters, weavers, or any craft with a gauge, even beading!

• Standard Garment Styling

• Choose from standard sizes or custom sizing
• Allows you to tweak the shapes in various ways, tweak neckline, ribs, sleeves
• Shows you where to measure, and where to add or subtract ease

• Original Pattern Drafting (Not included in the Standard version)

• Once you tweak the pattern in Standard shaping, you can open the pieces in original shaping for further tweaking
• Oh my! You can tweak and tweak the shape so much here. You can split a piece, add seams, resize, add points, and push the limits to any pattern shape
• I'll split a front, to create a yoke, then add fullness to the bottom piece, change length to become a coat or a dress.
• You can add pieces, pockets, embellishments, sashes, all then can be integrated with the stitch design
• One of my favorite things is to create sleeves that are knit both from the cuff to the cap AND from the cap to the cuff.
• The sleeves that are from cuff to cap are knit normally
• But sleeves knit from cap to cuff, I join the shoulder, then hang the armhole on the machine and knit the cap to the cuff
• This lets me create a sweater that comes off the machine in one piece. Then I seam sleeve cuff to hip/waistband rib

• Stitch Designer

• Stitch designer is the paint program part
• Using the various tools, tiling, zoom, repeats, color shuffle, and suchlike, you paint a stitch pattern
• Designaknit gives you full control over every aspect of stitch design

• DesignaKnit Graphics Studio - convert graphics from other sources into stitch patterns

• Scan a chart from a knitting pattern; import a chart from an online free pattern, and DesignaKnit digitizes it, makes it a computer knitable design. Export as .pat, .stp, .bro or other formats.
• Have a picture your child drew, friend created, or other public domain source? Designaknit will digitize it to be computer knitable, too!
• Have a picture or chart that is too big or too small? DesignaKnit resizes to fit your sweater
• You can also do fun things like skew, stretch, and squash pictures for different effects.

• Print a variety of charts, diagrams and templates

• Print out the shape schematic/chart for shaping. For hand knit garments. For times when there is no power available.
