Knitware Sweater Design Program

KNITWARE Sweaters allows you to design a garment (a sweater (British jumper), pullover, cardigan, top, vest or jacket) that will be hand and/or machine knit or crocheted, with a variety of body, neckline and sleeve styles and lengths.

Sweaters Sizing include:

• Measurement data for 35 standard sizes:
  • Babies newborn, 6 month, 12 month
  • Children's age 2 - 14 (chest 20" - 32")
  • Women's size 30" - 56" bust
  • Men's size 32" - 52" chest
• The ability to add custom measurements for sizes of your own.

Sweater Styles include:

• Body style: pullover or cardigan
• Body length: waist, above hips, at hips or coat (tunic)
• Sleeve style: drop shoulder, raglan or set-in
• Sleeve length: full, 3/4, short, cap or inset (sleeveless)
• Front Neckline: round, V, scoop, square or boat
• Back Neckline: flat, round, V, scoop, square or boat
• Collar: single band, doubled band, rolled edge, cowl, shawl or turtleneck
• Optional hood
• Variable amount of garment ease, from form-fitting (very tight) to oversized (big and baggy)

• Add round yoke calculator
• Add hat calculator
• Improved yarn estimator

Enhancements to Sweaters include:

• Add Top-down method as well as bottom-up
• Add Circular construction as well as flat (hand knit and crochet)[ROUND YOKE!]
• Add Pleated and gathered options for set-in shoulders
• Add Longer sweater lengths (Thigh, Above Knee, Knee, Calf and Ankle)
• Extend A-line shaping below hips
• Add Sleeveless option of Drop shoulder style
• Add Funnel collar
• Add Flat front neckline
• Round yoke sweaters & pullovers can also be created, but not yet illustrated in pictures on this site!
