The Prolific Knitting machine doesn't teach you how to use your machine. Instead it teaches you how to find faster and easier ways to get to the finish. Using charming animal drawings the author shows how to measure people, cut and sew fabric pieces to make really useable garments. Sweaters, vests, hats, coats, mittens, and more.

My favorite illustration is on pages 24 & 25, one mouse is carefully knitting to size the sweater and the other mouse is wearing his sweater proclaiming, "Mine's done!'

I love the fact that the author has a section devoted to extra-ordinary people, and teaches you how to make gloves that fit for people missing fingers, how to create sweaters and garments for people in wheelchairs, or using walkers, or any other extra-ordinary situation. Many of the ideas were so right for those extra-ordinary situations in which we all find ourselves.

Also were garments for the extra-large loves of our lives and the itty-bitty ones we love.

You can use this for any fabric, in truth, and the cut and sewn ideas lend themselves to fleece and purchased knits, too. Only, you won't have the really cute charted cats and creatures knit in!

Lots of Catherine's charted designs throughout the book finish the wonderfulness about it.
