Head Band Pattern from Cara L. Bernhauser

Use your own yarn and stitch gauge.

A	Child 1-5 years	18"x 2½"	(for lining knit 5" in length)
B	Child 6-12 years	19"x 3¼"	(for lining knit 6½" in length)
C	Adult (small)	20"x 4"	(for lining knit 8" in length)
D	Adult (large)	21"x 4"	(for lining knit 8" in length)
E	Adult (sideways)	4" x 20"- 21"	Using a double bed knitting technique. NOTE: There is no lining here so just use the outside gauges.
F	Adult (sideways)	8" x 20"- 21"	NOTE: There is no lining here so just use the outside gauges.

Knit a gauge swatch first. Make a swatch for each the lining and the outside stitch patterns

It can be plain knitting with a fancy yarn, or maybe a tuck stitch or fairisle design.

Many people enjoy planning a name on their headbands.
