Knitware software enables hand knitters, machine knitters and crocheters to easily and quickly create their own knitting and crochet patterns for babies, children, adults, toys, and pets!

• Display a schematic diagram of your design.
• Print the pattern instructions  for you to knit from.

Who is it for?

• Hand knitters - all kinds: American, English, Continental; loose, regular or tight. It doesn't matter how you knit because the program uses the gauge that you knit to.
• Machine knitters - a simple knitting frame (such as a Bond or ISM) is assumed, although owners of punch card or electronic machines may also use the program.
• Crocheters - all kinds: American, English, Metric; loose, regular or tight. It doesn't matter how you crochet because the program uses the gauge that you work to.
• Computer beginners or experts - simple to use, with extensive on-line help and a printed user guide to get you started.

How do I use it?

1. Select your yarn and needle size or machine gauge.
2. Knit a test swatch, launder, measure the tension/gauge.
3. Run KNITWARE to select size and style design components.
4. Use the printed pattern and/or schematics to knit your garment.  Treat the KNITWARE pattern as a blank tapestry to add your personal touch of lace, cables, intarsia, fairisle, etc.
