So you want to know a little bit about us?
Well, when Mark and I were first married (Dec. 1976), I wanted a bit of money for gifting things. I loved to craft and so crafted gifts. Often the recipients wanted to buy more. I started as a handweaver, handspinner, natural pigment dyer.
I still weave, spin, and dye yarn. But have since added knitting looms and computer design software. I also do tatting, cross stitch, scrapbooking, & card crafting.
It quickly became obvious that there was a need for suppliers in my area, so in 1981 I opened the studio to sell supplies.
In 1983 Mark was able to quit his job, and he helps out around here. Our goal was to have a business that would allow us the most time to do volunteer work.
So if you call and neither of us answer, that is where we are. We do free building projects, teaching, and in-home care in our community.
Our specialty is helping you find what you need, at a price you can afford. We often offer solutions that are "out of the box". Even if a solution that will help you doesn't make an immediate sale, we will still offer it. We rely on long-term relations with our customers.
We believe in added-value, so will often group products, and throw in extra freebies.
FREEBIES!!! Is there something you'd like to know, a pattern you can't find elsewhere? contact us and let us know. We'll try to post a pattern page for you.
Suggestions are most welcome. Suggestions from our customers is how we have stayed the course of time. Product suggestions, site suggestions, glitches, frustrations with our site, we want to know, and we do appreciate the time you take to let us know!
The future? Well everyone wants to know the future, lol. But we plan to continue adding new products, be here for your questions, explain our products, do whatever it takes to be your favorite place to shop!
